History
First State Bank has been an independent community bank since its inception on April 27, 1933. Up until 1989, we provided financial services from a single location in New London, Wisconsin. Today, we are a full service financial institution serving six communities with a strong focus on commercial and agricultural lending.
Independent Philosophy
As an independent community bank, taking care of local financial needs is a top priority. Our service often goes beyond the "policies" and "rules" of many financial institutions. Decisions are made locally. And, our staff will go the extra mile to provide you with solutions to your financial needs and make your banking experience pleasant and convenient.
Mission Statement
To provide a range of financial services designed to exceed the expectations of our customers and communities we serve, while achieving a return on shareholder equity investment consistent with our corporate goals and sound banking practices.
Community Involvement
At First State Bank, we strive to be active in the communities we serve. All employees are encouraged to be active in community service. We believe that the people around us are influenced by what we do and the interest we have in our communities. Good community relations make for good customer relations.
